Alan Neely will speak on secrets to success Oct. 22 at UNCG

GREENSBORO – On Wednesday, Oct. 22, Greensboro entrepreneur Alan Neely will tell community members the story of how he successfully founded, developed, and sold his two companies, New River Innovation and InvoiceLink. The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the UNCG Entrepreneurial Journeys series.

 

Neely is an experienced entrepreneur with a broad background in technology. After starting his career at Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Neely held leadership positions within several companies, including Vanguard Cellular Systems and Volvo Truck Finance North America. He is known for his strengths in startups, leadership, strategic planning, technology design, and intellectual property protection. Neely has authored seven technology patents, and speaks regularly at entrepreneurial classes in the Duke Fuqua and UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA programs.

 

Neely will share his tale of success at 5:30 p.m. on the UNCG campus (Room 1214, Moore Humanities and Research Administration Building, 1111 Spring Garden St.). Due to limited seating, attendees are asked to register at entjourneys10.eventbrite.com. A networking session from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. will precede the 45-minute program, and a Q&A session will follow it. Light refreshments will be served, and free parking is available near the venue, on Forest Street, Oakland Avenue or behind the Weatherspoon Art Museum.

 

Entrepreneurial Journeys provides monthly informal, interactive opportunities for community members and students to hear first-hand how businesses are created.
